Billings & Payment Policy

1) Overview
Raan Medical processes website orders through our Shopify storefront. Customers create a secure account (email + password) to access pricing (where applicable), place orders, view order history, and download invoices. By purchasing via our store, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Use, Terms of Sale, Warranty & Returns, and Privacy Policy.
2) Account & authentication
You may check out as a guest (where enabled) or by creating an account. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, reset your password and contact us.
3) Prices, currency & tax
Prices are shown in AUD and (unless stated) exclusive of GST. GST, shipping and any applicable fees are calculated at checkout. For New Zealand deliveries, duties and import taxes (if any) are the recipient’s responsibility. We may correct pricing or content errors at any time before order acceptance.
4) Payment methods (Shopify)
We accept the payment methods offered by Shopify Payments and any enabled gateways (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay; other methods may be shown at checkout).
• Pre‑authorisation: Your bank may place a temporary hold at checkout.
• Charge capture: Payment is captured when we accept your order (usually on dispatch).
• Bank transfer / purchase orders: Only by prior written agreement.
5) Invoices & receipts
A tax invoice is emailed after payment and available in your account. If you need an invoice reissued or updated with clinic details/ABN, contact us with your order number.
6) Order acceptance & fraud checks
Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or refuse any order (e.g., eligibility checks for restricted products, stock availability, fraud screening). Shopify and/or our team may use automated and manual tools to prevent fraud. We may request additional verification (e.g., clinic details, AHPRA number, billing address confirmation). Orders failing verification may be cancelled and refunded.
7) Subscriptions & recurring billing (if offered)
If you subscribe to recurring deliveries: you authorise recurring charges to your saved payment method at the frequency shown at checkout. You can modify or cancel in your account before the renewal cut‑off (see product page for details). Price changes will be communicated in advance where required.
8) Refunds & adjustments
Approved refunds (e.g., under Warranty & Returns or order cancellation prior to dispatch) are processed to the original payment method. Timing depends on your bank/gateway. Partial refunds or adjustments will be reflected on a revised tax invoice.
9) Chargebacks & disputes
Please contact us first to resolve any billing issue—we’ll investigate promptly. If you lodge a chargeback with your card issuer, we may share order, delivery, and communication records with the bank to resolve the dispute.
10) Security & card data
Payments are processed by Shopify using PCI DSS–compliant systems. Raan Medical does not store your full card details on our servers. For saved cards/express checkouts, storage and tokenisation are managed by Shopify and/or the relevant wallet provider.
11) Credit terms (trade accounts)
Our default website terms are payment in full at checkout. Any separate credit terms must be approved in writing and may include credit limits, due dates, and late‑payment remedies.
12) Late payments (for approved credit only)
If payment is not received by the due date, we may suspend fulfilment on open orders and/or apply reasonable late fees and recovery costs as permitted by law.
13) Currency conversion (NZ customers)
Checkout will charge in AUD. Your bank or card provider sets FX rates and fees. Refunds are made in AUD; any FX differences are outside our control.
